12 oz (340g) fettuccine or spaghetti

2 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes (with juices)

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped

Fresh basil leaves and extra Parmesan for garnish

Instructions
 

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

    Prepare the Sauce: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil. Once hot, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, or until fragrant but not browned.

      Add Tomatoes and Seasoning: Stir in the diced tomatoes (with their juices), oregano, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Let it cook for about 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
