Ingredients

1 pound ground chicken

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped (or 1 tablespoon dried basil)

1 cup marinara sauce (homemade or store-bought)

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Cooking spray or olive oil for greasing

Instructions

Preheat your air fryer to 370°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes while you prepare the chicken mixture.

In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and basil. Mix well until the ingredients are fully incorporated.

Grease a muffin tin with cooking spray or a light coat of olive oil to ensure easy removal after cooking.

Divide the chicken mixture evenly among the muffin cups, pressing it down slightly to form a crust shape. Each cup will hold about 2-3 tablespoons of the mixture.

Air fry the chicken cups for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, carefully remove the muffin tin and spoon a tablespoon of marinara sauce over each chicken cup.

Top each cup with shredded mozzarella cheese, covering the marinara sauce.

Return the muffin tin to the air fryer and continue cooking for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 74°C).

Once done, carefully remove the muffin tin from the air fryer and let the chicken parm cups cool for a few minutes before serving.

Garnish with extra chopped basil and serve with additional marinara sauce on the side for dipping.
